At Mazrati Grocery, we respect your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and how you can exercise your privacy rights. Personal information means information that identifies you or can reasonably be linked to you.
01Who we are and what this policy covers
Mazrati Grocery is operated by [Full registered legal company name], registered in [Emirate and mainland or free zone], with its registered address at [Full registered address] (“Mazrati”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). Our website is [Website URL]. [Insert app name and link, or remove if not applicable]
Separate notices may apply to recruitment, employees, or particular services. Where another company independently operates a payment service, marketplace, or delivery platform, its own privacy notice also explains how it uses your information.
02Information we collect
The information we collect depends on how you interact with us.
- Contact and delivery information: your name, phone number, email address, billing and delivery addresses, and delivery instructions.
- Account information, if accounts are offered: your login details, saved addresses, account settings, and communication preferences.
- Shopping and transaction information: products ordered, purchase history, order numbers, substitutions, payment status, refunds, and information needed to resolve delivery or payment issues.
- Customer communications: enquiries, complaints, reviews, survey responses, and correspondence with our team, including information you provide through WhatsApp or social media.
- Technical and usage information: IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, interactions with our website or app, and relevant security logs. Cookie and advertising choices are described in section 7.
Payment information: [Insert payment provider names and explain which payment details Mazrati receives or stores, such as transaction references, card type, masked card number, or payment tokens. Confirm whether full card details are handled solely by the payment provider]
Where information is necessary to process an order or provide a requested service, we will explain this when collecting it. If you do not provide the necessary information, we may be unable to complete that request. Optional information is identified as such.
03How we obtain information
We collect information directly from you when you shop, create an account, contact us, or choose to participate in a promotion. We also collect relevant technical information through our platforms, subject to applicable requirements and your choices.
We may receive order, payment, or delivery updates from [Identify relevant payment providers, delivery partners, and marketplaces]. These providers share information needed to fulfil your order or resolve a related issue.
If you give us another person’s contact details for a delivery, make sure you are authorised to provide them and direct that person to this policy.
04Why we use your information
We use relevant personal information for the following purposes, to the extent these activities apply to the services you use:
- To accept and fulfil orders, arrange deliveries or collections, handle substitutions, process payments and refunds, and provide customer support.
- To operate customer accounts and any loyalty programmes or promotions you choose to join.
- To send service messages, including order confirmations, delivery updates, product safety or recall notices, and responses to enquiries.
- To keep our services secure, investigate suspected fraud or misuse, resolve disputes, and comply with applicable legal and recordkeeping obligations.
- To understand how our services perform and improve our website, product range, and customer experience, using information in a form that does not identify you where appropriate.
- To send promotional communications and measure advertising performance where permitted, subject to your choices and any consent required by law.
05The basis for using your information
We process personal information on a basis permitted by the law that applies to the activity. Depending on the circumstances, this may be your consent, the need to enter into or perform a contract with you, compliance with a legal obligation, or another specific basis authorised by applicable law.
Where we rely on consent, we explain the purpose and give you a way to withdraw it. Withdrawal does not affect processing lawfully carried out before withdrawal. Reading this policy or using our services does not, by itself, constitute consent to optional marketing or other processing that requires separate consent.
06Marketing and your choices
Where you have agreed to receive marketing, or where otherwise permitted by applicable law, we may send you Mazrati offers, product news, and promotions. You can withdraw your marketing consent or opt out at any time through [Insert the actual channel-specific opt-out methods], or by contacting info@mazratisupermarket.ae.
Opting out of marketing will not stop necessary service messages about an order, refund, safety issue, or enquiry. We may retain limited information recording your opt-out so that we can respect your preference.
07Cookies and similar technologies
Our platforms use [Insert confirmed essential technologies] to support functions such as security, sign-in, and shopping baskets. [If applicable: With the permissions required by applicable law, we also use analytics and advertising technologies from [provider names] to understand platform usage and measure or personalise advertising]
You can manage optional tracking through [Cookie settings link or actual consent control]. You can also manage cookies through your browser and app permissions through your device settings. Blocking essential technologies may affect features such as sign-in or checkout. [Insert cookie notice link if a separate notice exists]
08When we share information
We share personal information only where there is an appropriate purpose and lawful basis. Depending on the service, recipients may include:
- Payment providers and financial institutions involved in processing transactions, refunds, or suspected payment fraud.
- Delivery and fulfilment partners that need order details, delivery addresses, and contact information to complete deliveries.
- Service providers supporting our website, hosting, customer service, communications, data storage, and other business systems.
- Analytics or advertising providers, where those services are used and the required permissions are in place.
- Authorities, regulators, or professional advisers where disclosure is required by law or permitted for legal claims, investigations, or protection of rights.
Where providers process information on our behalf, we require appropriate confidentiality, security, and restrictions on their use of it. Some providers act independently for their own regulated or separately disclosed activities.
If our business is sold, restructured, or transferred, relevant personal information may be disclosed to advisers or a prospective or new owner, subject to applicable law and appropriate safeguards.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties for their own marketing.
09International storage and transfers
Our information systems and service providers are located in [Insert countries or regions of storage and processing, including remote support access].
Where information is transferred internationally, we will use a transfer mechanism permitted by applicable law, such as a recognised adequate level of protection, appropriate contractual safeguards, or another legally available basis. 10How we protect information

Our safeguards include [Insert verified measures, such as staff access restrictions, secure transmission, authentication controls, staff training, and secure disposal]. Access is limited to people who need it for authorised purposes.
No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. If you have an account, keep your login details confidential and contact us if you suspect unauthorised access. If a personal data breach occurs, we will assess it and notify affected individuals and the relevant authority where required by applicable law.
11How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including applicable legal recordkeeping duties and the handling of disputes. Retention depends on the type of record, the service involved, and any legal requirement to preserve it.
[Insert verified periods or clear criteria: customer accounts after closure or inactivity; order, invoice, and refund records; customer support correspondence; marketing consent and opt-out records; technical logs; and any CCTV or call recordings]
When information is no longer needed, we delete it securely or anonymise it so that it can no longer identify you.
12Your privacy rights
Subject to the applicable law and its conditions or exceptions, you may request information about how your personal information is processed, access to it or a copy, correction of inaccuracies, erasure, restriction of processing, or transfer of eligible information in an electronic format. You may also object to certain processing, including direct marketing, and withdraw consent where processing relies on it.
Where applicable, you may object to qualifying automated decisions and request human review. You may also complain to the competent data protection authority.
To make a request, contact info@mazratisupermarket.ae or the contact form in our Help Centre. We may ask for proportionate information to verify your identity and protect your information.
